Who We Are

AudioNet is NCCU's student radio station.  The format is urban contemporary and announcers at AudioNet convey a variety of campus, entertainment and local topics of interest to the campus listening audience.  You can see and hear the broadcasts from AudioNet on channel 3-4 on campus.

What We Do

AudioNet is the student voice and information station for students on the campus of NCCU and is a training facility designed to give students interested in the field of broadcasting once in a lifetime chances to meet and work with some of today's most recognizable artists in the entertainment industry. AudioNet is the alternative to other media outlets in the community through programming that is educational, culturally diverse, and unique. AudioNet serves the university with music (R&B and hip hop genres), news, public affairs, and sports of local and national interest. AudioNet is located in the Farrison-Newton building on the NCCU campus.

AudioNet is staffed by students majoring in Broadcasting, Music Industry Studies, and a variety of other majors. AudioNet students are volunteers, work-study students, and community service students at NCCU.  Students at AudioNet are trained to be announcers, news anchors, production directors, music directors, and to hold other positions created to provide a professional broadcast training foundation while in college. Advanced students are promoted to positions within NCCU's Jazz station, WNCU 90.7 where they have the opportunity to learn how a public radio station in a medium market competes for market share and funding.

AudioNet provides listeners with a variety of music, news, and information designed to entertain as well as inform.  AudioNet's primary format is a mixture of Hip Hop and R&B.  AudioNet also provides listeners with a daily Gospel show, and Quiet Storm show designed to appeal to the vast majority of students enrolled at NCCU.  AudioNet can also be viewed and listened to on Channel 9 in the dorms, classrooms, and office buildings on the campus of NCCU.
