Volunteers to help with tear down for the first IN PERSON East Durham Market @ Maureen Joy Charter School!
Tear Down may include helping with exit, sign removal, and moving up farmers' stalls.
Volunteers should be ready to help with lifting things like tables, chairs, and tents.
We will have access to the warehouse building at 101 S Driver St. There is A/C in this building, but prepare appropriately for the weather in case you are outside for the majority of the time (water, clothing, hats/shade, etc.).
There will be a first aid kit, gloves, and sanitizer on site.
There are about 7 parking spots available on site. Street parking is also available.
Inclement weather policy: We have tents and indoor space.
More about us
Communities in Partnership (CIP) formed in 2011 and functions as a vehicle to give voice to local residents and hold officials and agencies accountable. Among our programs is the food sovereignty initiative, which is a part of a larger effort in our work to address the injustices of systemic racism in the food system. Our monthly food co-op is owned and run by community members, providing fresh, locally grown food and protein based whole food options as well as community, educational, and advocacy programming.
