The TRiO Access Peer Academic Leader Program (PALs) provides first year and transfer students with peer mentors to aid in their successful transition to NC Central University. PALs meet one-on-one mentees twice a semester, host events and socials, and connect students to campus resources. PALs also aid in the administration of the Summer Access Program, a 4-week virtual enrichment Program for incoming first year and transfer students who have a documented diagnosis or is first-generation and/or from a limited-income background.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with mentees twice a semester
- Keep accurate and up-to-date record of contacts within your TRiO Access PAL Drive
- Host events and socials in collaboration with other PALs to support students
- Connect students to campus and community resources
- Other duties as assigned by TRiO Access Administrative Staff
