Who we are: SwingPals is a non-profit organization with a mission to build a foundation of health and strong character in children facing adversity. SwingPals uses golf as a medium through which students develop mindfulness and self-regulation skills, empowering them to pursue their passion and fulfill their potential to create positive change in their lives and community.
Your role as a SwingPals Coach: Your role is not to be a golf coach. You will be guiding our students from the process of thinking to doing while swinging the golf club, keeping students physically safe, helping them let go of control, explore their potential, and enjoy their golf game. Your role is to give students the opportunity to develop their social and emotional skills to be able to focus their mind in the moment to make purposeful, intentional choices, that will serve them well in their life.
Benefits of being a Coach: As a SwingPals coach, you'll gain leadership skills, build personal resiliency, develop emotional regulation skills, find the ability to be present, be mindful and learn how to experience emotion. These skills can be used to improve the quality of your life, help you make better and more sound decisions, build meaningful relationships, increase personal happiness, and improve physical health. Your commitment: Please commit no less than 2-5 hours a week to this role.
