Join the HBCU Founders Initiative for an interactive, solution-driven workshop that brings together innovators, students, and community changemakers at North Carolina Central University to tackle some of today’s most pressing public health challenges. This hands-on experience will focus on developing creative and sustainable solutions to address food insecurity, behavioral health concerns, and the growing loneliness epidemic impacting our communities.
Participants will engage in collaborative problem-solving activities, hear from leaders in social innovation, and work in teams to design impactful ideas that promote health equity and community well-being. Whether you are passionate about public health, entrepreneurship, or community engagement, this workshop will equip you with tools to turn ideas into actionable solutions.
Attendees will receive free meals and have the opportunity to win $25 gift cards throughout the event. Teams will also compete for a $250 grand prize for the most innovative solution.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, February 28 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the NCCU Student Center, located at 500 Nelson Street, Durham, NC 27707.
