Description

Ranch Chores is an essential part of what happens at Hope Reins. We work together to maintain a clean, beautiful, and safe area for the kids in our program. During Ranch Chores we typically participate in activities like the ones listed below:

  • Invasive plant species removal in pastures - helps keep our pastures healthy and nutrition-rich for the horses

  • Fence staining - with miles of four board fence, it's an ongoing process!

  • Trail construction - our kids love to walk the trails with their mentors during sessions

  • Clearing fence lines - from downed limbs, brush and debris

  • Weeding and gardening - to ensure the Ranch is beautiful for our sessions kids

Hope Reins is a 501c3 nonprofit and one of the country’s leading faith-based equine mentorship programs. We serve kids, aged 5-18, who are experiencing life-threatening trauma at our 38-acre ranch, where they are paired with a trusted mentor and a rescued horse for a series of 90-minute sessions over a 3-year period. This journey leads to resilience and coping skills that can last a lifetime. All services are offered at no cost to kids and their families.
