- Provide gentle prompts rather than solving tasks for them

- Balance time spent with each child to ensure steady participation
- Keep the activity moving while making sure no one feels rushed or left out
- Help transition completed participants so new families can join
- Create a Fun & Positive Atmosphere
- Be cheerful, patient, and encouraging throughout the event

- Share a simple overview of IAIER’s mission and programs with parents
- Explain, in kid-friendly language, how AI and emerging research connect to creativity and problem-solving
- Answer general questions and direct deeper inquiries to event leads when needed
- Encourage Creativity & Imagination
- Help children brainstorm board-game themes, characters, and storylines
- Offer suggestions while allowing kids to lead their own design choices
- Inspire curiosity and exploration
- Maintain a Clean & Organized Space
- Keep materials tidy and restock supplies as needed
- Clean up scrap paper, markers, pencils, and tools between participants
- Ensure the space remains safe and welcoming
- Work as a Team
- Communicate with fellow volunteers to coordinate roles and activity flow
- Step in to support others when things get busy
