Description

The NCCU Counseling Center provides opportunities throughout the year to encourage our campus community to become advocates of mental health well-being. Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) is one of the ways students, faculty, and staff members can learn approaches to help others.

QPR is a gatekeeper training that provides effective ways to respond to someone experiencing a mental health emergency or crisis and connect them to appropriate resources. Attendees learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide and steps to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Students can earn service hours by completing this training.

Registration is open to current NCCU administrators, faulty, staff, and students, and community members and can be completed using this link: https://forms.gle/AusRQyFoQPAYRykq7. There is a tiered registration fee.
