On Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 12 PM – 2 PM on the practice field at NCCU we will host our annual "Stomp Out Stigma" mental health event. The goal of this event is to stomp out stigma of mental health in the African-American community and encourage participants to get the support they need. Additionally, we hope to bring mental health education to NCCU students that will improve their lives and provide helpful resources. Specific activities will include interactive games, suicide awareness information, and prevention resources. In addition, we will have community and campus partners that will share helpful information to our students. Giveaways, prizes, and lunch will be provided for all participants.
As a volunteer at this event you will help with a variety of tasks like set-up, registration, tabling, runner, activities, clean-up and other duties associated with this event.
Arrival time is 11:00 AM and we expect volunteers to stay through the end of the event and clean-up (3:00 PM).
