Fundraising Intern Description

Purpose Learning Lab, Inc is seeking a seasoned fundraiser to join our tight-knit team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. By coordinating events, writing proposals, and recruiting and leading volunteers, you will hone your speaking, writing, and leadership abilities while moving Purpose Learning Lab closer to its financial goals.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organized, with a knack for research. We are looking for someone who believes in Purpose Learning Lab's mission and will demonstrate exceptional drive to further our existing fundraising efforts and help strategize and deliver new ones.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Makeup Artist to style the girls participating in the 2023 NCCU Parade. This volunteer opportunity aims to elevate the self-esteem of the girls by providing them with professional makeup services. As a Makeup Artist, you will play a vital role in enhancing their confidence and ensuring they look and feel their best during the event.

Responsibilities:

Provide makeup services to girls participating in the NCCU Parade. Collaborate with organizers and participants to understand their makeup preferences and themes. Create various makeup looks, ranging from natural to creative, according to individual preferences. Ensure makeup application is long-lasting and suitable for outdoor activities. Uphold hygiene and safety standards throughout the makeup application process.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Makeup Artist, with a portfolio showcasing your skills and creativity. Knowledge of various makeup techniques and styles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Passion for boosting self-esteem and confidence in young individuals.

Videographer Intern Description

 

Join the Purpose Learning Lab, Inc marketing team as video production intern and put your creative talents to work in multiple areas of the video production process. As the video production intern, you will exercise your creative skills & multitasking abilities as you assist in developing ideas, filming pieces, and editing takes. Tasks required include, but are not limited to, handling the lighting, conducting research, as well as working with the marketing team to create fresh content for the Furnitureland South website and various social media platforms.

Assist in developing relevant stories for our brands, as well as stories that will be used for in-house purposes Research topics using a variety of sources, including video archives, the internet, library archives and others as needed. Responsibilities:

Capture high-resolution photographs of the parade participants, floats, and spectators. Record high-quality videos of the parade, including interviews, performances, and highlights. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event. Edit and process photographs and videos to create compelling and visually appealing content. Collaborate with event organizers to understand specific moments and elements that need to be captured. Uphold professionalism and respect attendees' privacy while capturing candid moments.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Photographer and Videographer, with a portfolio demonstrating your skills and creativity. Proficiency in using professional photography and videography equipment. Our Expectations

STEM Education Facilitators are asked to lead enrichment sessions once a week, for a duration of one year (or two semesters, Fall and Spring, as outlined in the Durham Public School calendar). A minimum commitment of at least one semester is required. Due to the emotional and academic effects of COVID paired with school closures, Purpose Learning Lab, Inc is currently conducting virtual tutoring for K-8th grade participants. Times below:
