From 6pm - 8:30pm, get ready, because your Friday nights just got better! Join us every first and third Friday for our brand-new Healing Circle Series—a night packed with fun, creativity and connection. Hosted by Ms. Faith and Ms. Beyonnshea, with the awesome support of NCCU’s Psychology Department and Eagle friends, you’ll laugh, play games, make music, create art and meet new people in a positive, upbeat space. Don’t miss out—come vibe with us and kick off your weekend the right way! Taking place at Weaver Street Recreation Center.

Volunteer: Monday Night Mentoring Meetup (Trained Mentors)

Must have completed training and background check to be eligible for this opportunity.

Mentor Role

– Serve as a positive role model and friend
– Take the lead in supporting a young person through an ongoing, one-on-one relationship
– Build the relationship by planning and participating in activities together
– Strive for mutual respect
– Build self-esteem and motivation
– Help set goals and work towards accomplishing them

Time Commitment

– Make at least a one school-year commitment
– Dedicate at least 8 hours a month with mentee by attending at least two in-person Drop-in Center program days and two virtual meetings with mentee
– Communicate with the mentee weekly
– Attend an initial orientation session
