THIS SERVICE OPPORTUNITY IS FOR TRIO SSS STUDENTS ONLY

Volunteers will lead a guided tour for a gourp from Baltimore on a tour of NCCU. Volunteers will provide information about NCCU, and about life at NCCU, during the campus tour and answer questions from the group.  The group will be 10 students and 2 chaperones.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR TRIO SSS STUDENTS ONLY.

Volunteers for this event will help transport materials to the site, set up the table, and clean up after the event. Volunteers will meet in the office at 10:00 am to gather materials, walk them over to the student center, set up the table, and educate students on TRIO SSS and the services we offer. After the event is over volunteers will break down the table and transport the material back to the office.

Having limited staff, the TRIO office is looking for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) students to volunteer in the office completing administrative tasks essential to the day to day operation of the program.  Through this experience you will gain essential skills you will use in your respective fields and work experience you will be able to include on your resume.  Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assisting NCCU TRIO SSS in the day to day operations of the office.

- Confidential handling of program files and information

- Promoting program activities and workshops to other SSS students in the program.

- Assist in scheduling SSS student's required one on one appointments

- Providing outreach calls to check-in with students who have not been in contact with the office for a while.

- ... And much more.

Available Positions

Lead Administrator- Manages admin. team and works on projects as directed by advisor. (1)

Administrator: Programming and Activities- Develops programs and activities hosted by the program. (Unlimited)

Administrator: Office Management- Day-to-day office operations: filing, managing office inventory, assigned tasks by office staff (Unlimited)

Administrator: Graphics and Media- Creates media content for the program- brochures, videos, flyers, etc. (Unlimited)

TRIO SSS Media Communications Team

The objective of the media communications team is to design, create, and manage all digital and print communication from NCCU TRIO SSS.  Students will manage such media such as flyers, social media, promotional video, and webpage management.

The student(s) selected for this position will be trained by our Tutor Coordinator and paired with SSS students.

SSS Tutor Criteria

- Must have at least 3.1 cumulative GPA or higher
