Who We Are
Liberty Arts is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating experiences that enhance artistic growth and community building through creative practice and collaboration. We provide access to the industrial arts through affordable studio space, a variety of classes, and yearly programming that engages the city of Durham.
What We Do
Founded in 2001, Liberty Arts has its Main Studios at 918 Pearl Street and operates the only nonprofit casting facility on the east coast in Durham Central Park. Over the past 20 years, our artists have created sculptures that can be found across the state of North Carolina; the highlight of which is Major the Bull, located in downtown Durham.
