Who We Are

The Grandfamilies NETWORK (FFN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting grandfamilies—grandparents and othere family members raising the children and youth of relatives navigating complex challenges. We believe in building stronger, more resilient communities by addressing the unique needs of these families, offering tailored programs, and fostering connections across generations.

What We Do

At GFN, we provide a wide range of services that promote well-being, resilience, and empowerment for grandfamilies and the communities they live in:

- Support and Counseling: Safe spaces for emotional and psychosocial support through initiatives like the “It Takes MORE Than Love” Support Group and Grandfamily Listening Circles.

- Health and Wellness Programs: Family-focused health and wellness activities grounded in the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, encouraging mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

- Financial Empowerment: Tools and education through the Grandfamily Financial Resilience Program to help families achieve financial stability, including budgeting, financial literacy, and wealth management coaching.

- Education and Training: Tutoring services for grandchildren and continuing education for caregivers, along with professional development opportunities for human service providers.

- Advocacy and Community Engagement: Advocacy efforts to raise awareness and push for policies that support grandfamilies, empowering families to engage with local, state, and national leaders.

- Resource Connection: Case management services to connect families to essential resources such as housing, healthcare, and legal aid.

- Intergenerational Programming: Activities that bring grandparents and grandchildren closer together, including family exercise programs, fun community events, and cooking classes.

- Faith-Based Outreach: Partnering with faith communities through the Grandfamily Care Team Ministry to provide spiritual and emotional support to grandfamilies.
