Lakewood Elementary School

Lakewood Elementary is the home of the Bulldogs! Lakewood Elementary follows a traditional school year calendar. We are proud to be a neighborhood school in the Southwest region of Durham Public Schools. We are a community school, learn more about what that means here. We also have a dual immersion program at Lakewood that started in the 2019-2020 school year. Even though there will be a regional dual immersion option through the district starting in 2023-2024, we will continue to maintain our dual immersion program here at Lakewood because it was a school-based program and not a district based program.
