Who We Are
The NCCU TV Studio is a training studio devoted primarily to preparing Mass Communication students for careers in broadcast media. However, the Studio is also a site where dedicated students of any major can learn about the professional world of media. Notice the word "dedicated." Students are expected to initially devote at least 4 hours per week to training and participating in productions. Students must attend training from 10:40-12:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please contact Mrs. Hicks at fcaseyhicks@nccu.edu if you are interested and available from 10:40-12:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What We Do
What are the benefits of making a commitment to the TV Studio? You will learn camera operation in studio and field, floor directing, audio, teleprompter, directing and technical directing, producing, and editing. You will have the opportunity to produce original student programs, record productions with Mass Comm classes and NCCU Theatre, participate in productions with the Football Team and Athletics Department and participate in special events on campus and in the community, to name a few. You will learn the camaraderie necessary for a good crew. You will lead, follow, and do your part. You will learn about, and give back to, your community.
