WNCU 90.7 FM (Radio)

Since its debut in August 1995, WNCU, 90.7 FM is a jazz and news public radio station, licensed to North Carolina Central University.  We provide diverse music entertainment and serve as an educational resource for our community and abroad.  WNCU 90.7 FM is a 50,000 watt public radio station and an affiliate of NPR, PRI and Pacifica Radio.

As a jazz and news public radio station, we have consistently fulfilled our mission to provide quality culturally appropriate programming to public radio listeners in the Triangle area and abroad. The format of this listener-supported public radio station entertains the jazz aficionado, educates the novice jazz listener and disseminates news and information relative to the community-at-large.   Our weekend programming lineup is a mixture of genres from oldies, funk, blues, gospel, reggae and African music that blend with our news/talk lineup.
