To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

In communities through out North & South Carolina, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs and Chartered Community Centers offer that and more. Our programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The Salvation Army of Durham, Orange, and Person counties serves the community in many different ways. We operate a Family Thrift Store that provides clothing and furniture to those in need, as well as accepts gently used donations from anyone in the community. The funds generated from this Store operate both our Social Service programs and our Boys & Girls Club.

We operate a Food Pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays that is open for emergency assistance as well as government assistance programs. 

Our Boys & Girls Club is a fully operational after-school and summer camp program. We offer homework help, tutoring, athletics, and much more!
