The Chefs for Change Annual Gala is Families Moving Forward's largest annual fundraiser. It is a unique dining event designed to bring our community together to raise funds to serve the FMF mission of ending family homelessness. The primary event of the Gala is the multiple-course meal provided by some of Durham's finest chefs. In addition to the prepared courses, there will be a live-auction benefiting FMF.
We will need a large group of dedicated volunteers to help the Gala run smoothly. We are primarily focused on finding support for the dining portion of the evening with volunteers serving small plates and helping bus tables. We will also need some helping hands with other portions of the Gala such as registration and the live auction.
No prior food-service experience is necessary- just a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand. This is a great opportunity to be part of a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun evening filled with energy, elegance, and community spirit.
The Gala is on Thursday, November 6th from 6:00pm until 9:30 pm at The Cookery, on W Chapel Hill st, Durham NC. We ask that our volunteers arrive by 5:30pm and plan to stay until clean-up is complete around 10:00pm.
