Community Media Outreach Interns, also referred to as the “Digital Baddies”, serve as representatives of the Women’s Center. This internship allows interns to earn community service hours for connecting the Center to the community. The purpose of this learning contract is to outline the learning objectives, assigned tasks, and guidelines expected for the internship.
This internship provides professional development and community engagement opportunities for NCCU students. The learning objectives of this internship are the following:
To promote and increase awareness of the Women’s Center and the resources and services it provides to the campus community.
To aid in the fostering of community relationships between the Women’s Center and the campus community, local Durham community, and the global community.
To provide education on social issues such as mental health advocacy, holistic support, women’s health, student success, and more to the community.
