Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back, gain experience, and make an impact? Join us this summer as a Volunteer STEM Facilitator and help us create a safe, innovative, and inspiring space for youth!
Volunteer Role: Summer STEM Support Facilitator
Volunteers will assist with hands-on STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities while supporting youth in learning, growing, and building confidence.
What You’ll Do
Assist with fun, hands-on STEM experiments and activities
Support students during academic enrichment (reading, math, problem-solving)
Help with classroom management and transitions
Engage with youth through games, creativity, and mentorship
Support field trips, outdoor learning, and special events
Pass out materials and help bring lessons to life
Who We’re Looking For
Individuals who love working with youth
Positive, patient, and energetic leaders
High school students (16+), college students, or community members
Those interested in education, social work, STEM, or youth development
Program Details
Location: 2315 Sparger Road, Durham, NC
Schedule: Flexible Summer Hours (Full Day & Half Day Options)
Time: Typically between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
