House of Mercy Food Pantry – Weekly volunteer opportunity!

Description

House of Mercy is a weekly food pantry at Kings Park International Church dedicated to serving our local community. We distribute boxes of food/groceries to local families and individuals here in Durham. We would love to have you volunteer to serve with us!

What You'll Do:

  • Pantry Setup & Packing: Help organize food boxes and set up distribution tables.

  • Food Distribution: Grab food boxes and pack them into each family car.

  • Guest Service: Welcome community members and assist them through the pantry drive through line.

  • Clean-up: Help wrap up and restore the space.


Volunteer shifts:

  • Box preparation and table set-up: 12:30pm-3pm
  • Food Distribution: 4:30pm-6pm


Next Steps for Volunteers:

  1. Orientation: After signing up, contact Joshua McKoy to complete a brief orientation. Please include your full name and scheduled shift in your message.

  2. Log Your Hours: After completing your shift, submit your hours through GET Connected and notify Joshua McKoy for final approval.
