The Student Liaison will serve as a key connection between Fayetteville Street Elementary School and NCCU student organizations, and campus-based resources. Working closely with the Community School Coordinator, the Student Liaison will help identify and develop partnerships that can provide meaningful support, resources, volunteers, and opportunities for students, families, and staff.
The liaison will serve as a primary point of contact for identifying potential organizations and campus resources that align with the needs and priorities of Fayetteville Street Elementary School. This role will involve researching and reaching out to student organizations, university departments, service groups, and other campus-based partners; initiating communication; scheduling introductory meetings; and helping facilitate connections between potential partners and the Community School Coordinator.
Because the Student Liaison will be working in and supporting Fayetteville Street Elementary School, Student Liaisons must complete the Durham Public Schools (DPS) Volunteer Clearance Form and receive the appropriate clearance before beginning volunteer service or participating in activities that require clearance.
The volunteer clearance process and application can be accessed through Durham Public Schools Volunteer Information and Clearance Form.
