Description

Communities in Partnership (CIP) formed in 2011 and functions as a vehicle to give voice to local residents and hold officials and agencies accountable. Among our programs is the food sovereignty initiative, which is a part of a larger effort in our work to address the injustices of systemic racism in the food system. Our monthly food co-op is owned and run by community members, providing fresh, locally grown food and protein based whole food options as well as community, educational, and advocacy programming.

Goods will be packed in plastic bags and handed to people in their cars. Volunteers will predominately be outside until the sun goes down or we run out of food.

There is A/C in the building, but dress appropriately for the weather in case you also help to transport goods out to the car/van.

There will be a first aid kit, gloves, and sanitizer on site. Even so, packing makes your hands dry! Please take care with containers and boxes for paper cuts.

There are about 20 parking spots available on site. Street parking is also available on Holloway St.

The church has one single-stall bathroom.

Inclement weather policy: We have tents and indoor space for packing.
