Are you interested in arts entrepreneurship, education, and/or empowering the hearts of youth in Durham County? Music instructors teach the students how to utilize various musical instruments (ex: recorders, drums, piano). They may give lessons to large groups or individuals. In addition, they evaluate their students and give suggestions for improvement.
PLL Music Instructor Job Overview
In the music instructor role, you will be responsible for teaching music education to students in grades k-8th Grade and assists the staff of PLL in the improvement and appreciation of music instruction. Helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music, playing of instruments and listening and performs other duties directly related to this job description. A key element of this position is to remain patient when teaching students. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the overall performance of your students, as well as their willingness to continue pursuing music instruction.

- available the following times starting September 1, 2022 with a willingness to remain available through early June 2023: Thursday 4:00-6:00pm (there are scheduled breaks for Labor Day Weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter Break, MLK, Jr Day, Spring Break, and Memorial Day).
