A mentor commits to a biweekly or monthly meeting day with their mentee and uses the time together to talk about successes and struggles. The mentor can offer suggestions and advice to their high school mentee who more than likely will be a first generation college attendee.
Before being assiged to a student, any interested volunteer will be invited to the school for a tour and conversation with the volunteer coordinator. Mentors will meet with mentees on campus in a classroom setting, supervised by a staff member of the school.
Our students are wonderful young people and this experience will be as rewarding for you as it is for them. That is the goal of our volunteer opportunities!
