Description

Volunteers MUST sign up here.

The Food Shuttle Farm supports Inter-Faith’s mission by providing locally grown, chemical-free produce to our food initiatives and partners. 80% or more of our harvested produce goes directly into distribution at School Pantries, Mobile Markets, Grocery Bags for Seniors, and The Spinning Plate, providing the freshest produce possible to those in need. The remaining 20% percent of the crop is sold onsite at our Farm Stand, located just 10 minutes from the heart of Raleigh. To learn more about the Food Shuttle Farm, click here

No experience is required to volunteer, only the willingness to get your hands dirty! Volunteers will assist with general farm tasks such as seasonal harvesting, packing, planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and greenhouse work. Farm tasks are subject to change daily based on needs but please come prepared to bend, kneel, and lift medium to heavy items to complete our daily tasks.

Daily tasks may be more demanding than others but volunteering at the Farm is a rewarding experience and we encourage everyone to sign up! Before volunteering, please review our Farm Policies and Procedures to review our plans for inclement weather, general dress code, and allergy notices.
