Civic engagement workshop - Volunteers will explore stages in voter participation from registration to holding elected officials accountable. Activities will include (1) description of roles, (2) examination of printed materials for voter registration and voting, (3) exploration of websites for sample ballots, rules, and information about candidates and incumbents, and (4) role play to practice prospective activities,including "get out the vote" efforts. Without preference to either party, participants will be encouraged to explore sources of information about political parties and independent registration.
